Well, we had too much work to do and too little time (as usual) so we were only able to drop by the Bike Bash at The Cabin in Overgaard Arizona for a few hours. But we ran into a lot of friends, had some yummy pizza, missed the poker run — there is another coming up Aug. 5th so no worries — and got to buy a package from home for one of our heroes that is deployed. In my book, the last item made it a home run. And despite the fact that it is monsoon season, managed to ride the 3 hours there and back with only 5 minutes in the rain at the very end (but I came prepared with rain gear so, again, no worries).

Anyway, as I write this, the event is still happening and the band should just be waking up for the 2nd nights festivities (at 5 pm), so if you are in the area of The Cabin in Overgaard, get your buns over, support the troops and have a great time while you are at it.

Oh and to the biker that stopped to make sure I was OK at the top of the rim, “Thanks man. You are a rock star”!
