MotoGP racer Andrea Iannone, affectionately dubbed the Maniac, injured his shoulder in a crash at the Mugello Circuit which is a race track in Mugello, Tuscany, Italy. It is not clear if he actually dislocated his shoulder but the athlete sent the following message via his Facebook page from his hospital bed 1 hour prior to this posting. (Translated to English) “Guys quiet, we are already in the process of recovery… ” and appears to be in good spirits.

Iannone, who was testing at the Italian track at the time of the crash, expects to make a full recovery ahead of the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France to be held at LeMans on May 17th. The racer is part of the factory Ducati Team and is currently 5th in the points.
